Elijah Clark
Made an agreement with his indentured servant James Vaulone who should take service on Brig. Holker and pay 11/16ths of any prize money in return for his freedom. Elijah Clark was owner of Pleasant Mills Plantation on Little Egg Harbor River (Mullica),
(from NJ Soc. of Penn.) James Vaulone of Parish of St. Luke, Oldstreet in the County of Middlesex, England, Watch finisher was brought to America by Peter Osborne, mariner when 17 years of age. He was to serve five years from March 15, 1774 for his passage charges. It is presumed that his services were purchased by Col Elijah Clark.
